loam is a contemporary ceramics teaching studio on the border of Hampshire and West Sussex. Having worked in financial services for nearly 10 years, Jack left his job in 2018 to run the studio full time and continue developing the business.

The studio occupies two beautiful converted barns in the South Downs, just outside Petersfield. It runs a variety of pottery throwing courses, including:

  • 8-Week Pottery Throwing Courses.

  • 2.5hr Taster Sessions.

  • One-Day Pottery Throwing Courses.

  • Four-Day Pottery Throwing Courses.

The studio also has a dedicated open access space for part-time potters wanting to do their own work, at their own pace.

The studio has 18 pottery wheels, two large Rohde top-loader kilns, and various tables and storage space.
