
8-Week Pottery Throwing Course (Various Dates and Times)

This is an 8-week throwing course on a potter’s wheel, made up of eight 2.5 hour lessons.
During the 8-week course, you will be taught all steps of making a pot on a potter’s wheel, including throwing, turning and glazing. The course caters for complete beginner upwards. You can expect to make around 12 pieces during the course.

Unfortunately, we cannot cater for moving students onto different time slots.
The course typically runs in line with the below for students who are new to the studio. However, there is plenty of flexibility, and if there is anything that you want to work on specifically, we can certainly discuss this:
Week 1 - Throwing mug bodies
Week 2 - Turning mugs and attaching handles
Week 3 - Throwing bowls
Week 4 - Turning bowls and glazing mugs
Week 5 - Throwing plates
Week 6 - Turning plates and glazing bowls
Week 7 - Throwing vases
Week 8 - Turning vases and glazing plates
The cost includes all firing and glazing.
Please note that the minimum age we teach on the wheel is 16.
